Online Presence - Website & Instagram

caitmceniff.co.uk

- My website format has not changed since last year when I made it, but thats okay! (Obviously I've updated the content since).
- Still using Adobe Portfolio because its free with the Adobe subscription, so it makes the most sense economically at the moment
- I have my publications playing as a gif to show the pages
- If I had more time and knowhow and money I would want to make a more interesting interactive website, but that's something to consider for the future
- The work is the main focus, wanted to keep it clean, white background etc
- Important to me to have a sketchbook tab, I like seeing the process and sketchbooks are integral to my practice
- Functionable with contact details
- Client list

- I really like Instagram as a platform to share work and to discover artists / keep to up to date with what illustrators I like are doing.
- But I do find that Instagram can be very draining if you spend too long on it or end up comparing yourself to people
- I like it when illustrators seem human and real on instagram, I like honesty and to see process and work in progresses and personality, this is what I try to do with my instagram, not just post final pieces but try and show my practice and my personality.
- I still stay professional but also approachable, like a real life person.
- I like the new feature on instagram where you can save story highlights, I've made sections for things like books and interesting bits and bobs that I've been engaged with - adds to the full picture of what makes me and my practice me
