oh dear oh dear
I'm really not happy with this image it is bad.
In all honestly I left this right til the last minute because I've been so busy and I really regret that. I only had a couple of hours so I chose the brief which didn't requite any conceptual thinking, the Beck one. I was influenced by his collage music video Ben showed me in a tutorial and I tipped out my folder of scraps and played around a bit.
It looks really messy and amateurish , but I like the collage elements in the background and it was fun to make I just think the figure is terrible but its too late now!
Its a shame because editorial is something I'd like to try more of so I wished I had had more time to properly focus on this and make something I'm proud of. I guess atleast I made it within a short space of time which is a good thing for editorial work.
I'm going to tackle another of the New Statesman briefs this week for myself to lift my editorial spirits and so I'm not embarrassed when Gerri comes in. I want to make something more visceral and interesting and more considered so I'll choose one of the other briefs!
