Colours May Vary Exhibition

This was such an exciting opportunity ! I decided to make a new print to exhibit at CMV because I didn't like any of my current work enough to hang up. This was both a good and bad idea as it set me back timewise in all my other stuff I had going on. I decided to make a 4 colour screenprint in 2 different colour ways as I couldn't decide. I spent the last £15 I had to my name on paper for the prints but luckily they came out good enough to sell online and I made some money through that! This was the first time I'd attempted more than 2 colours in a screenprint and I was really pleased with how they turned out, I think its one of the first times I've properly thought about colour schemes before I make the piece by making a colour schemes chart on Photoshop, this helped me massively and was a big step forward for me in my practice. I think I preferred the bluey grey version but everybody else said I should exhibit the yellow one so I did that because I wanted to appeal to the majority!

Becky and Andy are the loveliest and what they do for the design community is amazing. Ive been having some chats with them recently about some exciting stuff we could do together so hopefully these ideas are going to become something in the near future!
